Doll Show

Pediophobia is the irrational fear or worry of dolls, but is it really irrational?  With movies like Child’s Play and Annabelle, it can definitely make a person look at dolls in a different light.

These pictures were taken in March at the 2018 Doll Show in Madison, Wisconsin.
Composition dolls are commonly seen in horror movies.  It creeps me out when a doll’s eyes look off to the side.  I often wonder if the eyes will look at me.

At first glance, you probably noticed the Wizard of Oz dolls.  If you’re a suspicious person like myself, your eyes are drawn to the troll with alien green eyes in the $10 bag.

I love this doll’s sparkly eyes, but the robot concept is a little scary.  If you’ve seen Humans, you probably agree with me.

This doll is awesome.  Unless the movie Signs frightened you, then it’s not so awesome.

🎃 Now, here are my picks for the three creepiest dolls at the 2018 Doll Show...
#3). There is something creepy about dolls with purple eyes.  Originally brown, the eyes turn purple over time.  According to The Witches movie- witches have a purple tint to their eyes.

#2). Dolls with bright green eyes look possessed.  I instantly think of The Exorcist.  I always wondered if the eyes glow in the dark, but I’d never test that theory.

#1). I’m not sure whether it’s the ghostlike appearance or the troublesome expression that put this doll at the top of my list.  It is beyond creepy.  I get chills just looking at it.
