Kirsten's friendship quilt

I found Kirsten's friendship quilt at an antique shop for $15.  This is the first version.  The second version had squares using fabric from some of the historical outfits.

It's tagged 1992 Pleasant Company.

This colorful quilt looks great on Kirsten's blue wooden bed!

Some of the newer quilts have a quilt pattern, but aren't sewn together like this one.

I made a quilt for my Kirsten doll a few years ago.  I hadn’t seen one in person, so I was unsure of the size.  It turned out to be a supersized version!

The handmade one is on the left and the Pleasant Company one is on the right.  If you are unable to find a Pleasant Company quilt, making one is a nice alternative.

It's a great addition to your Kirsten collection!  Thanks for stopping by!

The American Girls Doll Dress Patterns

Here is my collection of The American Girls Doll Dress Patterns.  There is also a set for Addy.

Each pattern comes with a colored photo of what patterns are included, instructions, and the pattern pieces.

There are differences in the Velcro placement. Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly's pattern pieces have the Velcro sticking out the back.

Josefina's pattern pieces have the Velcro flush with the back.

Kirsten is home!

My Kirsten is back from the AG Doll Hospital!

Kirsten was treated by Dr. Lux. 😊 There was no charge for the silver eye repair, since it is a defect.

My first impression... 😍😍😍 She looks so pretty!!  I love her new eyes!  No more silver!

Here is a closeup of my gorgeous girl!

And another!

I asked Dr. Lux to put her hair in low pigtails.  Her hair is so soft and shiny.

Kirsten came back with a hospital gown, pink hair ribbons, a hospital bracelet, socks, and most importantly... a certificate of good health!

Dr. Lux prescribed plenty of rest for one week.

What a difference!  Dr. Lux took such good care of Kirsten.

Hello and Goodbye, Kirsten

I bought this beautiful Kirsten doll today for only $20. When I arrived, I found her sitting on a chair wearing a straw hat with a bird on it. She was reading her book 'Meet Kirsten'. The lady set her up just a few moments before I arrived.

She is a Pleasant Company doll.

And she has silver eye.

Silver eye is a defect when the decal of the iris comes off. It can happen in one or both eyes and is extremely reflective in the light.

I made the decision to send her to the AG Doll Hospital for treatment.

Kirsten was a little nervous.

But eventually drifted off to sleep.

I know the doctors at AG will take good care of her. It's a little sad to be separated since we just met, but she deserves the best care. 💜 I will post an update when she's all better and back home!

Comparison of American Girl Felicity and Kirsten necklaces

have two versions of both Felicity and Kirsten's necklaces. I wanted to share some pictures to show the differences between the two. Both versions are very beautiful, but I'm partial to the older version.

The older version of Felicity's coral colored necklace came with my German made Felicity doll. The beads feel like glass and are brighter in color whereas the newer version has plastic beads that may have faded over time. Both versions of the necklace have a hook clasp.

The older version of Kirsten's amber colored heart necklace came with my German made white body doll. The heart on the older version is smaller and darker in color with a light brown ribbon and a springring clasp. The newer version has a shorter dark brown ribbon with a hook clasp.
