Goetz Doll

I bought this doll at a sale a while back.  She is labeled Goetz Oriental Doll 10/20/86.  She has a face and body like that of Pleasant Company Dolls.  She has a white cloth body, flat neck strings and even has a Pleasant Company stamp on the back of her neck.  She has thick short black hair with bangs. Her eyebrows are also black.  Unfortunately, she does have silver eyes.  Let me know what you think of this cutie.

Monday night thrift find

I found this Pleasant Company Girl Of Today Cookie Set for $10.

It comes with all kinds of goodies, including a cookie tin, a basket complete with a bow and doily, a rolling pin, cookie cutters, cookies, and a Spice Cookies Recipe booklet!

I love that the cookies are not clumped together, but individual cookies! A+++

Kirsten's friendship quilt

I found Kirsten's friendship quilt at an antique shop for $15.  This is the first version.  The second version had squares using fabric from some of the historical outfits.

It's tagged 1992 Pleasant Company.

This colorful quilt looks great on Kirsten's blue wooden bed!

Some of the newer quilts have a quilt pattern, but aren't sewn together like this one.

I made a quilt for my Kirsten doll a few years ago.  I hadn’t seen one in person, so I was unsure of the size.  It turned out to be a supersized version!

The handmade one is on the left and the Pleasant Company one is on the right.  If you are unable to find a Pleasant Company quilt, making one is a nice alternative.

It's a great addition to your Kirsten collection!  Thanks for stopping by!

AG Comparison- Maya and Rascal

My niece gave me Rascal, Marisol's cat and I recently bought Maya, Gabriela's cat.  I wanted to show a side by side comparison of these cuties!

Aside from the coloring (Maya is a gray and white Tuxedo cat and Rascal is a Himalayan cat), the biggest difference is the face.  Maya has a fully embroidered face and Rascal has plastic eyes and nose.  Rascal's mouth is embroidered like Maya's one, but it's more subtle.

The size is another noticeable difference.  Maya is a little larger than Rascal, but everything else appears to be the same.

Both are absolutely adorable, but I like Rascal more.  I like the plastic eyes and nose.  I also think Himalayan cats are so beautiful!  It reminds me of my uncle's cat, Thomazina.  So, Rascal has been renamed to that.

Cuteness overload! ❤️❤️❤️

The American Girls Doll Dress Patterns

Here is my collection of The American Girls Doll Dress Patterns.  There is also a set for Addy.

Each pattern comes with a colored photo of what patterns are included, instructions, and the pattern pieces.

There are differences in the Velcro placement. Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly's pattern pieces have the Velcro sticking out the back.

Josefina's pattern pieces have the Velcro flush with the back.

Kit's Christmas dresses

I recently purchased Kit's new Christmas dress. I wanted to show pictures of the older and newer version side by side.  My Pleasant Company Kit is wearing her original Christmas dress and my American Girl Kit is wearing her newer version.  Both colors look great on Kit!
I like the material on both dresses.  The newer version is a little shorter than the older one.
I prefer the older version of Kit's bow.  It's much bigger and I love the way it looks on her!  The older bow is attached to a barrette and the newer bow is attached to a scrunchie.
Both toys are awesome, but I'm partial to her Aviator doll! ❤️💚

I love both dresses, but I definitely prefer the older one a little more.  It's classic and I love the huge bow and Scottie dog pin.  Do you prefer Kit's older or newer Christmas dress?  Comment below!
