Breaking Bad potholders

My husband is a huge fan of Breaking Bad! He also loves cooking, so I made him Breaking Bad potholders for his birthday 😀

It was hard keeping the secret, but I was able to put together some charts using excel and crochet the potholders on my breaks at work and at home before he woke up in the morning.

I'm super excited for him to open it!

There are tons of YouTube video tutorials on Tunisian crochet. I highly recommend watching them! Here are some pictures of the steps.

Using Lily Sugar'n Cream cotton yarn- slip knot

Slightly tighten on size H crochet hook

Chain 32

There are 2 steps for each row in Tunisian crochet. Stitching from right to left, then left to right

Follow pattern for color changes

Do not carry thread over 6 stitches

We're getting there!

After completing the front, make a second in a solid color for the back

With wrong sides together, the front and back are stitched together

Each stitch is slipped through the last

Nice and thick!

A perfect gift for a Breaking Bad fan!

Enjoy these charts! Happy crocheting 😊

My husband asked me to make an ornament for their ornament exchange at his work.  He wanted the Breaking Bad RV.   Here is the finished ornament.

Breaking Bad fans!

My husband and I are HUGE fans of the show Breaking Bad! It really is one of the best shows I have ever seen. Last year I wanted to make my husband something Breaking Bad related and it really turned out to be a Breaking Bad Christmas!

First, I painted a picture of the "pink bear" seen floating in a pool. I love bright pink, so this was super fun to paint!
The second is a painting of my husband's two favorite things ~ Breaking Bad and Daphne, our shih tzu! I painted our youngest twin in a hazmat suit and there you have it! She really looks cute! She would have made a great Jesse! My other dog, Bumblebee is more Walter White :)
The last was a sewing project. I love vintage ornaments. The ones made from felt and embellished with sequins! These ornaments were fun and easy to make. They also look super cool on our Christmas tree!
