Mattress (make 2)
1. Cut a piece of batting to fit the bed.
2. Cut a piece of muslin large enough to wrap around the batting.
3. Wrap the batting like a present and glue the muslin in place.
4. Let dry.
5. Cut a piece of felt to fit the bottom of the mattress.
6. Glue in place.
7. Put the mattress on the bed.
Comforter (make 2)
1. Cut 2 pieces of fabric large enough to wrap around the mattress.
2. Turn right sides together and sew leaving a one inch space on the bottom.
3. Clip corners.
4. Turn right side out.
5. Sew open seam.
6. Make the bed.
Pillow (make 2)
1. Cut a piece of binding long enough to fold over for a pillow size.
2. Lay binding right side up. Fold end under and lay a piece of rick rack over the top.
3. Bring the other end up and fold the binding in half. Fold back the edge.
4. Sew one side together.
5. Sew the other side together.
6. Trim excess rick rack.
7. Turn right side out.
8. Stuff pillow. Glue the open end shut. Glue the rick rack.
9. Place on bed.
Bench Cushion (2 different sizes)
1. Cut batting to fit the bench. There will be two pieces of different sizes.
2. Cut a piece of fabric large enough to wrap around the batting.
3. Wrap the batting like a present and glue the fabric in place.
4. Cut a piece of felt to fit the bottom of the cushion. Glue in place.
5. Put the cushion on the bench.
Throw Pillow (make 3)
1. Cut 2 pieces of fabric in squares. Turn right sides together. Sew leaving a small opening.
2. Clip corners.
3. Turn right side out. Fill with stuffing.
4. Sew open seam.
5. Put the pillow on the bench.
Clock (map/pictures)
1. Buy or print small pictures.
2. Cut a small piece of foam board.
3. Glue the picture on the foam board. Let dry.
4. Cut around the edges.
5. Put a command strip to the back.
6. Stick your clock (map/other picture) on the wall.
Wind Chime
1. Cut two small pieces of wood.
1. Cut two small pieces of wood.
2. Thread 1 flower and 1 small bead using metallic thread. Bring thread around the outside of the bead and back through the flower.
3. Pull the thread even.
4. Thread both strands of the metallic thread through a needle.
5. Thread 6 beads, 1 flower, 6 beads, 1 flower, 10 beads.
6. Wind the thread around one end of the stick. Knot and cut excess thread.
7. Repeat for each end of the two sticks.
8. Glue sticks together in the center like a cross. Wind thread around the center. Knot. Make a loop on the top.
9. Hang the wind chime on the upper cubbie handle.
The chicken decoration is 1 small glass chicken bead and 1 round bead.
Tea Towel
1. Cut a piece of binding and glue under edges.
2. Glue a piece of rick rack over the top and fold around the back.
3. Cut out a small picture from a piece of fabric.
4. Glue in place.
5. Lay the towel over the oven handle.
Lemons
1. Cut the loop from plastic lemon beads.
2. Put in a clear bowl.
We bought custom blinds for our house and this is one of the samples we got. It makes a cute floor mat.
